KP-Club-Pocklington-East-YorkshireEvery month, I’ll be featuring a venue that I shoot at on a regular basis so you can see what wedding photography looks like there.  You may already have your dream venue booked but if you havn’t, hopefully these articles will give you some inspiration!  The first venue to feature is the fantastic KP Club in Pocklington – it’s modern, contemporary, very chic and my oh my, does it ever look great in wedding photography.  As soon as I found out about this hidden gem, nestled in the Vale of York, I was busting to shoot there and it certainly didn’t disappoint the first time around!  Gemma Sargent is the award winning wedding co-ordinator at The KP and I work with her on a regular basis providing photography for their own marketing, I asked Gemma what she thinks makes the KP so special.

Wedding couples choose The KP for its modern feel and spectacular views, our flexible approach means a wedding here can be completely bespoke to each couple.

Our wedding couples become our friends and visit us time and time again to stay in the lodges, eat in the restaurant and enjoy a round of Golf.

KP-Club-Pocklington-East-YorkshireFor me, the option to stay over in The KP’s lodges the night before a wedding makes a very exciting option.  The club is home to a fantastic 18 hole golf course so the boys can have a round of gold whilst the girls pamper themselves in the lodges.  The lodges are essentially wooden cabins, all come with jacuzzis outside and are beautifully modelled on the inside – they really do make a perfect environment for bridal preparations as they are very spacious and full of light.  Service at the venue is perfect with only 1 wedding per day ever – you will certainly get the staffs’ undivided attention.

As a photographer, The KP is very exciting – it’s gives such a mixture of looks with a variety of construction materials including steel, glass, wood stonework all providing layered textures to shoot against.  The clubhouse itself is surrounded by a super cool ‘infinity pool’ decking and this makes a spectacular feature to frame the East Yorkshire wolds on the background.

If you want contemporary chic, then you should really go and check out the KP Club – they’ll give you a massive East Yorkshire welcome, enjoy a fantastic cup of coffee and a great lunch as Gemma tells you all about The KP Wedding experience.  For now I’ll leave you with a full album from a wedding I photographed at The KP 2 years ago – still one of my fave of all time!
