Weddings are events that bring together so many people for just one purpose: To celebrate and support the couple’s union. Big or intimate – the essence of every wedding remains the same. No matter how many weddings I shoot, they continue to be a source of inspiration for me. Not only do I get to capture memories for my couples, but I also get to meet some pretty fantastic people and listen to unique love stories. Meeting Joanne and Stephen and getting to photograph their special day was such an honour. They were full of love and positivity, and working with such couples hardly ever feels like a job. They tied the knot at Mount Pleasant Hotel in Rossington and were the true stars of the day.
Joanne And Stephen’s Mount Pleasant Hotel Wedding
Stephen and Joanne got married at the historic Mount Pleasant Hotel, which was established in 1938. The hotel was purchased from Rossington Hall Estates by Thomas Stocks & Alice Maudprides and prides itself on its personal approach to service. The management helps couples by guiding and advising them through their wedding planning process and making sure that every couple gets the wedding day of their dreams. So, if you’re looking for a venue for your big day, Mount Pleasant Hotel could be the place for you!
I started Joanne and Stephen’s wedding day photography by taking pictures of the bride as she got ready. Joanne looked calm and happy as she adorned herself with jewels while her mom helped with the final touches. She looked radiant in her wedding dress, with her hair styled in curls. And by looking at the smile on her face, which did not disappear for even a single second, I could tell that she was super excited to see Stephen at the altar.
Joanne and Stephen’s outdoor wedding ceremony was simply magical. The weather was ideal, with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze blowing through the trees. The natural light was perfect for some light and airy wedding ceremony pictures for the couple. Joanne walked down the aisle with a delicate bouquet of white roses in her hand and looked like a princess. Stephen got so emotional and teary-eyed when he saw Joanne, and I’m so glad I captured this memory for them. Everyone was elated to be there for the couple, and their smiling faces just made my day!
Joanne and Stephen’s wedding reception was absolutely fantastic. Their head table was decorated with white roses that matched Joanne’s bouquet. The speeches were heartfelt, and the guests were all having a great time, and the atmosphere was truly joyful. As the newlyweds took to the dance floor for their first dance, Joanne smiled at Stephen with her eyes sparkling with happiness.
As the sun began to set, I whisked away the newlyweds for a few minutes to get some couples portraits. We walked around the grounds, taking advantage of the beautiful evening light. The sky was scattered with pink and blue hues, offering a dramatic backdrop for their wedding photos. My favourite moment was when they stood under an enchanting garden trellis. From the vows to the first dance, Joanne and Stephen’s wedding was filled with sentimental and magical moments, and I felt so happy to have captured these precious memories through my lens.
