Dani And Mike’s Bonfire Night Wedding At The Tickton Grange Hotel

As a wedding photographer, I approach each wedding with a sense of excitement and wonder, always striving to capture real moments and emotions. In my career, I’ve met so many amazing people, and each client has been absolutely wonderful. Dani and Mike were another couple whose wedding at the Tickton Grange Hotel in Beverley, East Yorkshire, was a complete blast (quite literally!). Their wedding day was filled with magical fireworks, wedding sparklers, and of course, lots of love. And I feel so honoured to have captured these special memories for them.

Dani and Mike’s Bonfire Night Wedding Day

Dani and Mike’s wedding was cancelled three times before it finally went ahead. Their wedding plans were put on hold twice due to COVID-19, and the third time due to the arrival of their baby boy, Joshua! But finally, after rescheduling for the fourth time, they were able to tie the knot at the Tickton Grange Hotel with their family and friends, who were such a fun lot. And even Joshua, their youngest son, made a cameo appearance during their wedding ceremony, all suited up in his formals! He looked so adorable!

Dani and Mike’s wedding was held on 5th November 2022, on Bonfire Night – a traditional celebration in the UK based on the failed attempt to blow up the Houses Of Parliament in 1605. It is an annual commemoration involving bonfires and fireworks displays.

I began their wedding photography by capturing some heart-warming getting ready moments of the bride and groom. The getting ready moments are one of my favourites to capture at every wedding. There is just something about the wedding day excitement that makes for such great shots. Dani looked relaxed as she sat in the chair while her beauty team worked their magic. Across the room, Mike was getting ready with his groomsmen and kids, Ethan and Noah.

Dani and Mike also had special gifts for each other that they had been dying to exchange. As they opened their gifts, their reactions were priceless. Mike’s gift to Dani was a delicate pair of earrings, which matched perfectly with her gorgeous wedding dress.

Dani looked like a princess on her wedding day. She had a classic half-down hairstyle, and her floor-length veil added an extra touch of elegance. Dani did a first look with her dad, and her dad’s expressions were so precious. He was waiting for her at the end of the stairs, and his face just lit up with happiness as he saw his daughter all dressed up.

As the wedding bells rang, it was time to get married! Dani gracefully walked down the aisle while Mike stood at the altar looking dapper in his suit. They said their vows sweetly, holding hands and looking lovingly into each other’s eyes, and sealed their marriage with a kiss.

Capturing the group and couples portraits was so much fun as well. The weather and outdoor lighting was ideal, and everyone was all smiles. Some of my favourite photos from the day were the couples portraits of Dani and Mike sitting in a vintage car and the adorable family portrait of Dani, Mike and their three children.

For their wedding reception, Dani and Mike’s had a stunning five-tier wedding cake. It was a work of art, decorated with delicate flowers that cascaded down its sides. Their wedding was made even more special by the wedding fireworks and sparkler exit that created a magical atmosphere. The speeches were heartfelt, and their first dance was a romantic moment that the two of them will remember forever. It was a spectacular day filled with love and laughter, and I’m so glad that I could be there to document it.
