Wedding-Couple-Engagement-ShootDelivering albums is one of the most satisfying parts of my work as a wedding photographer.  It’s the end of a wedding journey for myself and my clients and it draws a line in the sand for our work together so far.  Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a couples reaction as I hand their book over and they reveal the finished pages for the first time.  I had exactly this reaction when Victoria and Chris came to pick up their album last week.  They married at Carlton Towers, Carlton, East Yorkshire – an extremely opulent, Gothic mansion situated between Doncaster and York.  It’s without doubt, the most unique venue that I work at and I jokingly describe as the place that Bruce Wayne would live in if he resided in the UK!

Chris and Victoria’s wedding journey began with me over 18 months before their big day.  Just after they chose me to be their photographer, we journeyed up to Carlton Towers to photograph some images for ‘save the date’ cards and it was obvious how in love they were with their choice of venue.

Their big day was nothing short of a fairytale.  Every detail had been chosen to compliment their theme and the way that venue styling blended seamlessly with the grand nature of The Towers was a real tribute to Chris and Victoria’s imaginations and the suppliers they chose to work with.  Chris tells me he didn’t have as much input as Victoria when it came to the details but he was adamant that he would get to chose the wedding cake and for him that just had to be made out of his favourite Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.  The cake was placed just near where my camera case was stored and the heady intoxication of the sweet vapours had me drooling at the chops!

When Hannah and I came to designing Chris & Victoria’s album, we were really spoilt for choice.  As a studio, we are really proud with the finished article.  The blend of daylight and after dark looks give a really nice contrast.  They chose an A4 sized album with our exclusive aluminium plate cover for a really lovely finish.  Here are their finished album spreads which I hope you will enjoy checking out.  If you would like to find out more about my work in East Yorkshire as a wedding photographer, please check out my Insight Photography website and also have a browse at all of my latest weddings on my Facebook Page.
