East-Yorkshire-Wedding-PhotographyI’m a Wedding Photographer in Hull and the East Riding.  Lots of people are surprised when I tell them that I’m busy shooting lots of weddings in December – weddings are a year round part of my work now – there’s no such thing as a ‘season’ anymore – couples are choosing to hold their nuptials at all times of the year and I’m loving the Winter Wedding thing.  Yesterday saw me back at St Augustines Church in Hedon, a gorgeous building known as ‘The King of Holderness’ which dates back to the Medieval period, in fact some parts of the church have been dated to 1190 – they don’t make ’em like this anymore!  Beth and Simon were married at 11.30 so I left my home to hook up with the boys at 7am – it was still dark!  After spending an hour with the groomsmen I headed over to Hedon where Beth, our bride, was getting ready at her family home – a farm which itself dates back to the 16th Century.  The wedding service was a beautiful mix of traditional and modern with a band leading the hymns including a very cool bongo player!  We took care of group shots in the warmth of the church whilst the wedding party enjoyed hot chocolate then headed back to the farm to photograph the bride and groom’s ‘Penny Drop Session’.  The couple chose Alexander Hall to hold their reception at which was followed by a traditional Irish Ceili (sometimes spelt Ceilidh) – the frist dance was classic!  Being a very traditional couple, Beth and Simon chose to leave the reception at full swing at just after 9pm in an amazing vintage Rolls Royce but we had time to get out onto the streets of Hedon to do another session of cool street photographs beforehand.  I hope you like this selection from their day and if you’d like to see more of my work as a  Hull Wedding Photographer, head over to my portfolio or Facebook Page.
